The brown, two-storey log structure is surrounded by a small park named in honour of its owner and patron of the arts, Dr. Ann Curtin, whose ashes remain under a plaque on the property. The site was gifted to the then Township of Etobicoke in 1959 with the proviso that it remain an art centre after her death.
