- Acrylic(Colours suggested: ultramarine blue, cerulean blue, permanent rose/cadmium red, alizarin crimson, yellow ochre, lemon/cadmium yellow, burnt umber and titanium white)
- Pencil
- Paper towels
- Water bottle spray

CATHERINE'S CLASS WILL START ON APRIL 4 AND RUN FOR 8 WEEKS

In this class, Catharine will propose themes, demonstrate techniques, and provide guidance on how to create a painting. Participants will be able to follow along and work at their own pace. At the end of each class, there will be a critique where participants will have the chance to help each other and discuss how to improve their work.

- Oil or Acrylic Paint (whatever you have in your palette, or we recommend: white; ivory blk; earth colours – yellow ocher, raw umber; primaries if possible – magenta/rose, primary yellow/hansa, cyan/cobalt; chromium oxide & veridian green; diazinon purple; zinc white is also a good white to have if you want more experience)
- Surface – 2 to 4, 9x12 min canvas board, stretched canvas or pad
- Palette – disposable pad 9x12min – without the finger hole
- Mediums – acrylic polymers/gels and oil mediums/paste
- Brushes – strong enough [not WC] and three sizes [SML] of all shapes
- Painting Knives – pie shape for mixing essential min
- 2ft sq fabric – towel or heavy sweatshirt material for cleanup – used each class
Additional Materials to Bring:
- Sketchbook and pencil, Brush stand (optional) – ex: piece of wood with drilled holes to support brushes, 2ft string – use will be explained
